I began having an interest in birds when I noticed a post on Facebook about a friend who posted their bird feeder which was hosting a few American Goldfinches. I was so taken with the fact that you could place a feeder in your yard and birds would stope by to eat and entertain you!

So, I headed to my local bird store and they set me up with a feeder and food to attract finches. I was hooked!

From that point, I found out that you could actually go on walks to view birds. This began phase 2 my introduction to birding. I find it delightful to walk in a peaceful, wooded area looking for these lovely creatures with other like minded folks! Next came the binoculars and then the camera to photograph everything I was seeing. A new (to me ) hobby was born- birding!

Right about this time I started receiving bird themed gifts from family and friends. Some of the gifts were very cute and others kind of tacky but I still appreciated the sentiment. That's when it hit me, what if there was a website that housed only bird related items. So, I have created and curated a website that is geared toward birders. I hope that you feel this is the ideal shop for gifts for birders and for the birder in you!
